    Not a speedy guy, but what kind of speed are we talking with the new Cougar Hybrid. My 181 champ gets 60-63 depending on load.

    Surr I went from a 181 to a 187, then went to the Sabre FTD. My Cougar was a 2008, you really cannot compare those 18' hulls to the Cougar. Think going from something sporty to a nice big cushy cruiser. No doubt any of the new 20' hulls are going to be faster than your 181. I had a 225 on mine and it was good for about 72 MPH, once again I had a regular Cougar. My Sabre FTD was all over 70 MPH with the 175 ProXS. Driving the Sabre vs driving the Cougar was night and day. All I did was steer the Cougar at 70. Im not sure I could have made that boat chine walk until it was well into the 70's. The 18's can be a handful in the high 60's and low 70's.
