    nitro boat

    are all nitro slow getting on pad seems like they are pushing water 2018 150hp merc 4 stroke 22p prop

    I don’t know if they all are but I’ve seen several that were. I think a four blade prop,properly vented would help. Most that I’ve seen were running three blade props.

    Get a holeshot plate to put on the bottom of the jackplate. When the backside drops during the hole shot the jackplate is dragging/scooping water. My Charger had the same issue suffered with a mediocre hole shot for years, spent way too much on props, and fixed it with a plate that cost under $20.

    My Nitro has always been quick to get on plane. Was running a 24" Tempest Plus on 150 Pro XS, now running 23" 4 blade with jack plate. Great hole shot!
