    The difference is in the 2d element. GT40 is 77/200 45/15 500 watts. GT50 is chirp 80-160 26-15 degrees 300 watts.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

Thanks! Why, then, are the prices so different? GT40 -249.99 ......( maybe all the same 455/800- also 300W???) GT50-499.99 ???

.....GT54 has 350W everywhere, and 500W is indicated in the pdf ????IMG20201008201717.jpg

The GT40, being non chrip on 2d was replaced with the GT50 and GT51. Just guessing but it probably came off the list that required dealers to sell it at full retail only. Anytime products are removed from that list, they get cheaper.

I don't know what pdf you are referring to. Everything I've seem says 350w.

I think the pdf you linked is what's correct and the website is wrong. They've been doing 500w on side and down a while now and I think the mega frequency requires it. Maybe Todd will see this and let us know what the story is.

Page 14 of transducer selection guide:
    GT34UHD, clearvu/sidevu 500 watts
    GT54UHD, 2D chirp 350 watts, clearvu/sidevu 500 watts
Probably just forgot to include 2D above the 350 watts

I see what you’re saying now Kulibin. The Garmin transducer selection guide has different specs on the gt54uhd than just pulling up the gt54uhd from the Garmin sight, hmm interesting.

    GT20, GT21, GT30, GT40, GT41, GT50, GT51. That's what I meant when I said they've been doing 500w on side and down a while. Of course that's 455 and 800.
The 1200 kHz needs 500w for range.
