You could give Rich at Hydrilla gear a call. He’s been running a big verado on his 22SF for a long time now. He could answer everything you’d like to know. His ride does extremely well with the big motor. I am currently running a 800+ lb Bullet 20CC with a 560 lb 300R to put weight/ balance into perspective. The weight/ balance is not an issue. It just requires some different setup approach. I don’t have any flotation in plate but I do run lithium batteries to help a little, but that’s something I do regardless. None. Just takes a slightly different proping game. I’ve had a 300R on the 20cc Comp, 20xdc, 20xd, and 21xrd. The bravo l FS works great for the money and is more of a speed prop selection on the r than ever before. Other great choices are the performer FC 4 and Max 5. The motor makes a ton of torque. You will feel a slight increase in bow height, but nothing you can’t get used to.

The X boats must handle the 300R differently than the SS. Or SST. I'm still having a good bit of trouble with blowing the prop out on the break over. Even as big as a 31 max 5. killed the holeshot and still blowed out extremely bad with a tournament load and a passenger. But I am not running a hydro jack plate. If you lower the motor so it doesn't slip on break over it won't run top end or drive well. Raise it to run well and cant get it out of the hole.

Try a 31/32 Bravo FS if you can..they’ll get you out of hole pretty good and still run low-mid 90’s..

I saw a post on FB where the Steve bishop guy admitted they put the 450 cowl on his 300. The 450 was on a liberator if I'm remembering correctly.

I've got a 12" rapid jack set at the moment 1.25 above the pad. The best prop I've tried so far is a hydromotive XOB with a full barrel and some flair.

You should try a Bravo l FS on that setup

LOL I have no reason to spread lies. Somebody said it, I'm just misremembering who it was. What did it run?

I found the post that I read.

"I could put you in touch with the owner of the above rig, Steve Bishop, if you so desired. I’m not sure they ran the 450R very hard on the 21’10” Bullet. I think it was more of a show for pics. I do know on the standard 20 foot Bullet the standard 300R ran 110, and the standard 300R on his 21’10” Bullet has run 101. The 300R on the 21’0” Bullet SST ran 103 at lake X. The 450r pictured is Randy Corson’s, on a 22 Liberator, and it ran 123 on that hull with a 34 Cleaver from signature. If Steve told me right, I think they just stuck the 450R cowling on his Bullet to ruffle some feathers. Pm me if anyone would like a phone number."

There was a 400 put on a Stroker but never heard any numbers. Not sure, but think HyDraTec (ARK) did the mating
of the two units. Chris Bailey drove the boat but wx was a problem and did not put up any good numbers. Boat went to
    central/south Texas area.

That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Just borrow it when they aint at home, you know Arkansans are generous folk, I am sure they won't mind if you borrow it. Just be sure to leave it full of gas and a note telling them what the top speed was. LOL!

It's funny when it's in the boat dock or not, one day it's there, one day it's not
