If I remove the VesselView from my motor do I need to put anything back where it connects at the motor like a cap or termination plug? I may want to transfer my current VVM to another boat/motor.

Yes, a Red Terminating Resistor Cap must be put in place of the cable (at the back of the engine).

Thanks Don, I’ll have to dig around and see if I have one. If I leave the blue cable connected and just take the VVM off I assume it also would need the same termination?

No, it would not. Your cable has the resistors in it (if I installed it, I added the second resistor so that it would match the resistors in a red-cap).

I purchased the blue cable from you but I did the install. I want to also keep the blue cable if I can but at least I know I can let it go as is if I don’t have time to remove it and just unplug the VVM then.

If you can, keep the 6" long male-male adapter at the console end.
