Prop to pad on my 188dvx with 150 HO

Trying to find the correct prop To pad measurement

    I am currently at 4”

Not turning but 5200 rpms at wot and 54mph.

    It is a RX4 20 pitch prop.

Thinking about going to 3.5 and see what I get.

    Any thoughts on this?

I would start with moving in 1/4" increments instead of 1/2". As you go up your RPM's should increase, as will your speed. Going up 1/2" you might go past the sweet spot and not no it.

As advised it takes small moves. 1/4” up until you lose lift pressure or speed then back a click. That’s how you get just right.
