Gel Coat - I want more!

Can you buy and apply gel coat, clear, over old, but smooth gel coat just to thicken it up. I'm talking about only two stripes that run the length of the boat.?? Can you buy it in spray cans or does it have to be mixed and sprayed thru more complecated apparatus(compressor, spray gun, etc.)???

The rest of my boat's gel coat is fine. And these two stripes, silver metal flake, is basically ok, I'd just like the gel over the silver flake to be a little thicker.

This is my first bass boat and my first effort to restore this kind of finish so I'm grateful for any tips.

The gel over the pins should be the same thickness as whats on the rest of the top cap. Hard to give usable advice without pics.

Pics are a must as the gel is most likely 'thick' it might be a matter or color sanding and buffing. If you are calling thick width/height you are in for a large project...
