Fitting a new to me trailer to XB-2003

Picked this up for my 2003. Probably gonna do uprights like the old trailer, but I'm wondering if anybody has fit one differently. Tempted to leave the center 2 there and see if it fits and then also add the uprights. Biggest thing I don’t like about the old one is how the back of the boat digs into the bunks. Any reasons to do it one way or the other or any recommendations?
1995 Allison XB-2003 225 Super Mag. It's slow and I'm ok with that.

If your talking about how the transom hooks digs into the up rights. Every Allison I've had did it.. My fix is to remove the carpet and take about 1/4 inch off the board from the hook mark to the board end. then re fasten the carpet.
