Supposed to be an open this weekend at scholars crossing this weekend. On the mohawk. Northeast bass?? Not sure who is running it. Seen a Lot of boats the last 2 days practicing for it. Water is clear and bass are schooled feeding on top. My 2 best days ever.

ooof that will be a tough one.. Cando is becoming little Onondaga of the Mohawk Valley.. except it can’t stand up to the pressure or put out consistent big bags. The lake association already hates bass fisherman and clubs there And each year more and more tournaments are going there. It’s been so tough I’ve only been there twice in the past 3 years and I live 18min from the ramp.

There’ll be a decent amount of boats, my guess is 12lbs will win, with a mixed bag

Possible for sure...some one always gets into them at any tournament no matter how tough the fishing is. Mohawk Valley bass anglers will have results posted.

Any snowball tournament this year?? What ever happened to that guy?? Last tournament he had Was 30 teams from 5 states and a first place of 1000$ he just disappeared. I heard somebody was him fishing on the mohawk... Tried talking to him and take his picture. He smashed his phone...

The " Iceman "....an old river rat for sure, always was a stand up dude to me. Mvba is heading up the new snowball tournament. The date is Nov 1st..registration will be at ft. Hunter. The new twist to the tournament is it will be a trailer to any launch on the mohawk..a trailer anywhere open. Just be back to ft. hunter for weight in. This is due to the locks closing so early now in mid October every year. Details on the club website. The 1st is daylight savings time.

MVBA is an active club again Or is there another Mohawk valley club? Last I knew they folded years ago when the president Ralph Smith got arrested.. I know quite a few guys who used fish it and they haven’t mentioned it starting up again but this MVBA was based out of Utica

Mohawk valley bass has been around since the 80s. It looks now to be a combo with the old Schenectady elite anglers. They even have a club barber. I always wanted to fish in that club but I never was good enough. They scared me.
