20% of the entry fees collected for the tournament will be donated to the Eastern North Carolina Make a Wish Foundation (http://www.eastncwish.wish.org). The remaining 80% will be paid back in tournament winnings. Entry fee is $100 per boat with a maximum of 2 persons per boat. Each boat may weigh-in up to 5 fish. Highest total weight wins. There will be an optional $20 per boat entry fee for biggest fish of the tournament. 70% of the money collected for this “Big Fish Pot” will be paid to the 1st place biggest fish of the tournament and 30% will be paid to the 2nd biggest fish of the tournament. Each boat may only weigh-in 1 fish for the “Big Fish Pot”.
My club is having the tournament to raise money for Make a Wish and to raise awareness about our club. We are looking for new teams to fish with us next year. We averaged 10 teams per tournament this past year due to poor economy and would like to build the membership back to at least 15 teams.
