    Best prop

I have a 2001 201 Cobra with a 225 Optimax, a 12 inch manual jack plate and a 4 blade mercury prop. What prop would you recommend for best overall performance. I would like to have a better hole shot. With two people, full fuel tank, and live wells full it struggles to get out of the hole. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks Mike.

I have the same boat (1999) with a 5 blade 23p Frankenprop. 6” jack plate though.
    I am being told Either a trophy or tempest 3 blade 14 5/8 24p or 25p.
leaning towards a 25p. Going to run them both and see. My boat jumps out of the hole. Just got it and test drove it for a few minutes noticing the impeller seems week. Going in for service before I can actually run it.

    found this interesting....

It is a 25 inch trophy. WOT, trimmed to, RPM is 5300, boat speed 67 +/-. 12" set back manual plate. I believe the rev is set at 5800.

If your tach is correct, I would try a 23P Bravo1 XS and adjust PVS holes to 3800 rpms on holeshot.

When you run your test, please let me know how they came out. I have a 24 Trophy (4 blade) and when the boat is fully loaded, live wells full, with two people, the boat struggles to get out of the hole. I would prefer hole shot over speed. Thank you, Mike
