Hole shot was great with the 28.5. Boat had tons of lift as well running WO. I’m pretty sure the Rev limiter or RPM’s weren’t maxed out on these runs either according to who was driving. That’s smoking for a 22’3 inch boat. That Stratos is a 20ft boat so having 2 more feet of fishing space along with a couple more MPH is a big difference. I’ve been in a .223 that hands were off the steering wheel at 75mph so it’s stable as well. I wouldn’t do that though, lol.

I'm running a 28.5 Bravo on my 223 with 300R in summertime - could go up a little as it'll peg limiter running 85-87 with full load and two guys but the hole shot is incredible! Now that it's cool the hole shot is absolutely stupid and it's gets on limiter very fast at 87-89..I need to go up to a 30-31 for fall/winter fishing...the Bravo is IMO a very overlooked prop for the new V8's..they run descent numbers, carry a heavy fishing load very well, and hole shot better than anything else out there..

That water was smooth as silk. I'd like to see one run on Lake of The Ozarks on a summer weekend. 80 is fast no doubt, but how does it perform on rough water?

I've been in a couple different 223's a lot. Actually ride very well. They are pretty well rounded in the ride, fishability, and speed. I was actually skeptical on how it would perform, but was surprised at how well it performed in big water......I would.love to have one.

Guess it depends on what your definition of how a rough ride should feel. Ain’t no boat going 80 in 3-4 foot chop and nothing but a Navy vessel is going to really feel comfortable and smooth really rough water.

Don’t be knocking my 21’ Stratos. Lol only reason I haven’t upgraded from my 17 year old 25k boat is the performance of a full deck fishing boat that most top out between 75-77 with standard motor doesn’t make sense.

None whatsoever.... the R motors have solid motor mounts and can come with either the sport master or torque master lower unit. No difference in speed at all, it depends on what lower unit works best with your setup. Both the boats we tested that day had a TM lower. The .223 had a ProXS and my boat the .204 had a 250R but mine also has a torque master lower unit. We did not get enough time to swap props out with these 2 rigs that day. I had a 27 Bravo 1 on mine and of course the .223 had a 28.5 Bravo on it, I believe that the .204 will be a few MPH faster when propped right but this is all speculation at this point as we simply have not tested yet.
