Grind 5 console installed in my Lynx

Thought some of you guys would like to see the Grind 5 center console installed on my 18 Lynx. I had it wrapped in black. I then ordered a black domed BassCat decal from BCB to finish it off. I’m really happy with how it turned out and think it looks as close to OEM as it could get.

I put one in my boat last year. I ending up replacing the top with HPDE board. The material that he used started to bow really bad from stepping on it and the sun I guess. Attention to detail is good. Doesn’t leak either.

Only on new boat purchases. They do not offer the fiberglass step as a separate purchase.

Why are the lids warping...humidity or just not holding up to being stepped on? Can you post any pics of the warped lids so we can see them? I live like 45 minutes from the guy who makes these and my buddy just put one in his 2017 Ranger Z185 - it looks great and seems well built. He told him he would stand behind it if he had any problems.

I need to replace my 1 year old carpeted step box I bought from Bass Cat as it is literally falling apart...

This was the first issue. He replaced lid. I have only had the console maybe 5-6 months. Now, starting to warp again after received entirely new lid. 1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg

I will say this, hands down, without question, he sent me a new lid and i received it in 3-4 days. His customer service is very good. The only issue i had was the product has been sub par for the price you spend.

He just said he had bad product. I think heat as well. I’m in Texas. I’m fishing in 104 and up temps at times. I will say not from stepping on it. I haven’t stepped on it much at all.

he is using pvc materials. Cuts and nails like wood, and flexible like wood. Problem is that it splits when edge nailed. Does not hold up to heat or stepping on. Would have been better if it was predrilled then screwed. The nails just pop out. I left the frame and replaced the top with hpde board. That’s the hard black plastic like around our shifter. Pretty tough now. I paid about $100 for the hpde off eBay used his top as a template. Same hardware.

would help if he put a divider in the middle.

Does anyone know if the manufacturer has taken note of these issues and has changed his buildong practices/ materials ?

These look so awesome and I plan on buying one - but certainly dont want to deal with the issues explained in this thread.
