    2014 SHO Upgrades?

Just picked up a 2014 zx200 with a 200 SHO. Hitting 67 on dot #9 and turning 5900 rpms. Anyone know what I could do to get a little more speeds? Would like to hit mid 70s. I know the ecu flash and I’m considering that but wasn’t sure if there was any other ways. Thanks

You say “dot 9”. The first step in setting up a boat is know/understanding of the relationship with the PTP measurement and the dial reading of the hydraulic jackplate if applicable....I would get this and then move up 1/4”s at a time until you loose WP or speed. Of course weight distribution, prop worked, proper engine tune, etc. The flash with be the biggest deal by far.

If your engine is mounted in the second hole, 9 dots is 2 1/4" PTP. 67 is about all it's going to do. You might be able to squeeze another 1 or 2 mph out of it depending on load, prop, etc. You'll have to flash it to see mid 70's.

What prop are you running? I just bought a 2020 ZX200, it has a 23p, I believe Skeeter just recently as of 2019 or maybe even 2020 started factory installing 23p...earlier years came with bigger props...I believe a 25p..if you have a 25p, try a 23p...it may help

I have been in ZX200's since 2002. Running a 2020 now. That's very good performance for that rig. You can squander a few hundred or more and pick up 1 - 2MPH if you try and keep the boat light, or you can cheat and flash your ECU.

    I'd just go fishing.

If you wanted a faster boat, you should have bought a faster boat.

My 2018 has the 23p. 67 MPH is pretty much the average speed for that boat.
