    Underspins?

Who makes them? Is there a big difference between painted & unpainted heads as far as bites go since plain lead won't match the swimbait or would it be better to just paint them white? Trying to decide of i want to get into lead or not.

I make my own and always paint them. I don’t fish any lead not painted. It’s just too easy to powder coat not to do it. I modified an ultra minnow mold before do it came out with their underspin.

I have made many molds into underspins. I've always painted them. I never fish them...

For years we never painted jig heads. Fish did not seem to care. Only people seem to care.

They all look great. Something that would look good with a Shad looking kitech or other finesse style seimbaits is what I’m interested in. Of course everything you guys make looks that way. Great looking baits guys.

OMG, Mike you have some amazing modifications for bass fishing. The time you spend with the thought process, the modifications, and making it all work is truly dedication. Is this just a hobby or do you sell your creations?

I have been making/designing baits for 30+years. I think way outside of the box. I used to own a small lure company and sold my stuff in 3 states and 6 stores. When it became a "Job" it was time to quit selling. I quit posting pics of my creations for several reasons.... One being that many ask to buy them. I don't sell my stuff. I have traded a few things with other tackle makers and rod builders.

I still love making/designing baits..... When I want too. Maybe if/when I retire I might start selling again.

    Thanks for asking...
