    Help please Timing intruder optical ignition

    What is the difference in 511-4017 Timing Tool & Johnson-Evinrude, Faststrike-Intruder, V4-V6, Easy Timer Ignition Analyzer

    That is a CDI part number/tool, Lists for $409 but in stock at www.marineengine.com for $325. The EZ timer works the same and is made by our own 316Jughead and works as well as the ignition analyzer for much less, plus you get a BBC discount if you order from him. The original OMC analyzer is 0434017 is still available for $482 from www.crowleymarine.com.
    Go with the the EZ timer much easier to use as long as you follow the enclosed instructions in conjunction with the service manual. Send 316jughead a PM he'll help you out.
