    New StructureScan 3D features?!

I was just watching a tutorial on Lowrances You Tube page called “Lowrance Live Basic Sonar Interpretation. At 28:07 you can clearly see that he’s using a structurescan 3D transducer (S3D-63.1.273). Now check out the frequency he’s scanning at.... Looks like 800 khz might be coming to the 3D module and transducer!! Am I seeing this correctly?

I see what your saying. It does show ss3d when he selected the source page and 800khz. However he selects console left and the screen shows it afterwards. So it could be a different transducer he selected. Don’t know how his boat is set up so can only speculate that he as both AI 3 in 1 and ss3d. The live units will default to AI 3in 1 so there is no way to tell unless he were to select the ss3d source. Which he did not do.

At the time index you reference, while it does clearly show he is using 800kHz, notice the source is "Left Console" not "S3D-63.1.273", so I have to assume the left console graph is using one of the AI ducers.

Also would like to note current publicly available firmware for SS3D is
    20.0-63.1.291.

they can and do have software that uses 800 and it is better than anything out today i had a unit that came with it but had no clue i was new to the ss3d and soon as a update came out well i did just that maybe they are saving it for the next gen to release it as the new best thing we can only hope look at the top of my pic you can see ss3d and at 800khzCapture800.PNGfull-35761-93232-20160108_154139.jpg

The choice of 800 kHz with SS 3D was an error, and was corrected through a softwareupdate.

Changing between 455 and 800 kHz frequency for StructureScan 3D didn't change anything in my setup.
