the evinrude part numbers on cowl parts can change year to year due to the sticker kit even though the cowl itself is identical.
Part number differences will be in the coloring not the decals.
maybe a physical change then? my 2005 cowl has some badly repaired damage so i did look what was available on ebay and tried to confirm fitment on evinrude. for the 200 90 degree models at least the cowls come as partially decalled assemblies and the part number for 2005 cowl is unique. too expensive anyway, so i will fill and repaint.
It is always based on the model number. We post the links to look up the parts, it is your job to do the research. The OP asked if they were compatible other than color, I provided an answer as did bighare. Just because they may look the same doesn't mean they will fit. Especially important in the belly pans.
