    It finally happened

Broke 80, 39 on the front, 40 on the back. The funny thing is I did not know my score until after the final hole. My son was keeping score so I was just focused on what I had learned in my two lessons. I knew I was playing well, just did not know I was playing "that" well. I also did it with no birdies, 7 bogies and 11 pars. I played 3 sports in highschool, but never found any athletic endeavor as difficult as breaking 80 on a golf course.

Also, I left there thinking I should have taken lessons years ago. What the instructor changed was easily incorporated into my game and has made a world of difference.
What we cannot obtain from intelligence, we can learn from experience.

    Congrats.
Nice story and all very true.
Golf is a tough challenge but that is what makes it fun.
To work at it and actually succeed is very satisfying.
I took my first lesson in 50+ years this year. 30 minutes-3 suggestions-now busting my driver straight and 20 yards longer.
I know age will catch me soon and change my game-but I will fight to stay in shape and play golf the way I want to play it.

Awesome! I shot a 74 once and since then I have yet to break 80. Been close several times but always find a way to blow up at the end. Congrats again!
