Couple days around Lake of the Ozarks

Going to be coming through the lake of the Ozarks area and thinking about spending a day or two. Won’t have the boat but looking for anything worth visiting, seeing, places to eat. Looking around Osage Beach area but nothing set and pretty open. Never been through this area and figured it is worth a look around if we’re close.

If you like to hike I would definitely got to Ha Ha Tonka State park and visit the castle.
Breakfast: Pancake House (not the franchise)
Lunch: Backwater Jacks. At times they have $1.50 busch in a can
    Dinner: Wobbly boots, JB Hooks

I second Ha Ha Tonka it is a beautiful state park. Food, Redheads for their pizza, Barn B Que we have found to be better than wobbly boots. Also if you want a really nice meal with amazing views JB Hooks or 1932 reserve especially if you can sit outside(same cove as backwater jacks). Finally Ozark distillery is pretty cool it is a moonshine and craft beer place. If your kids are with you take them to malted monkey and let them climb and get a shake. Lot's to do even off the water.

If you’re in to caves, Bridal Cave is cool (though a bit pricey).

HaHa Tonka and Lake Ozark State parks both have great hikes.

Larry’s On the Lake has decent food but they have tables set up on a huge floating dock. Nice place to sit on the water and eat.

There’s also a little museum by the dam called Willmore Lodge. It maybe takes just an hour or two but it is interesting and has an amazing view of the lake. Pretty sure it’s free too.

Thanks for the ideas guys, nice when we’re all spread out all over the country to hear from those people around the area.

If you do go to Lambert’s—- if you are a coffee guy, there is a place close to Lambert’s that has quite a selection of fresh ground coffee or beans

I live directly across from Tonka Cove. Send a PM and you can borrow a couple kayaks or have a boat tour. Best spot on the lake.

Back in the day we used to like to hang out at Flirt in Osage Beach . I do like a Wobbly Boots for BBQ also.
