Navionics questions.. Hot Maps Platinum

Moving back to Lowrance after being a Hbird guy for the last 5 years. New rig has 2 16" HDS Live units and I need a little education on mapping. I am looking for the most detailed mapping I can get that allows custom shading. I see the C MAP Precision seems to be the best but its only for a few states right now and that wont work as we travel a bunch.

Am I missing something or does that leave me with only the choice of Navionics? If so which chip ...Hot Maps Platinum? Has anyone had any issues with those chips lagging or running slow in a HDS Live unit?

I use Hot Platinum+ in my Live units and it works great and no lagging. I do like the shading and 3D type topography over my other Navionics card.

Have you checked the listed lakes on the C-map. I live in TX and most of the lakes are on it. Now I don’t know which version of C-map would have your lakes.
