    521VX/250hpdi/Yamaha 25p T1 combo

Anybody running the T1 prop on a 521? I have one that originally came in my boat in 2007 and it has some very light nicks and pitting. I see that these props are in high demand and I’m not sure what the hype is but I’m wondering if I should get it worked and try it out.
I ran my boat a few times with it when I first got it and I don’t remember the numbers I was getting but I remember it didn’t give near the bow lift that my 25P Bravo gives me.

The 25p Bravo gets me around 5700rpm and 67 mph so I think there is some room for improvement. It handles amazingly though and I do not wanna sacrifice any handling for Speed.

I have this exact setup, 2004 521 w/ 250 HPDI running the 25T1. Regarding speed, the fastest I've seen is 71 mph with perfect conditions and normally 66-68 mph loaded. I've only compared it to a Fury 26 that was faster, but overall a worse performing prop. The holeshot with the 25T1 is great, and handles fantastic at all speeds. It's worth a shot to give it a try.

I guess what I’m really wondering is if it is worthwhile to send the prop in to get it cleaned up and worked a bit to get it where I want it or send in the Bravo. Not getting max RPM out of either of them.

The 521VX will perform the best with a Tempest.

Looks like it's time to send the Bravo to Mark. I'm fixing to do the same.
