    150 Verado Oil Weight

When I got my boat, Merc recommended 25W-50 Syn blend motor oil. Now my dealer only carries 25W-40. Which weight is best? Motor info. in signature. I also checked my service manual, they spec out all other lubricants but not motor oil other that volume.

25w40 Synthetic Blend is the "spec" now. You CAN continue to use the Racing 25w-50 (Formerly known as "Verado Oil") if you wish (it will not harm the engine).

Thanks all. I used the last of my 25W-50 when I winterized the other day and will look for a deal on the 25W-40 Syn Blend for next year.
