Shoal Bay ?
A couple of years ago I could get into Shoal Bay from the river by going to the pole on the rocks and head straight over to Shoal Bay.
Is this still possible?

I haven't been there in a couple of months but that's the way I always ran it. Check the water level at the corps website. If it's normal pool or up a bit, you should be fine. If you want to play it safe then run up past the flat and run in from the north hanging just off the reed line but watch out for floaters either way you choose to run!

No, you now have to run up above the island and around the back side of it. If you run those poles you'll not make it far!

I would not do it after the flood that we had a couple of summers ago. That area has always been sketchy and I’ve heard it’s even worse now. Follow the south bank of the river and come around the back side of that island to stay in the channel.

unless you want to run up on ground, I wouldn't run it anymore.
