Scratchin' my head and looking for help.
My new boat (Ranger 1850MS) is equipped a Lowrance Hook2 5 HDI and a Lowrance Splitshot HDI transducer.
Ranger chose to epoxy the Splitshot transducer into the bilge of the boat and is using it for a shoot-thru-hull application.
This transducer has a built-in temperature sensor, but there is also a temperature sensor mounted on the transom. I have no idea how the transom sensor works, since the Hook2 5 doesn't have a port for an auxilliary temperature sensor and I can't find the end of the wire running from the sensor.
Any ideas how this works?

I figured out what was going on. Upon closer examination, the connector that attaches the transducer to the fishfinder has a separate wire that goes to the temp sensor. I didn't see it the first time and the pictures of this particular transducer that I found online only showed a single wire for the transducer.
Case closed!
