    lithium OK for EFI

Coming to the end of the season up here, and I think my starter battery may be reaching its end of life. I have a 2003 200EFI, running three Lowrance Gen 2 graphs. Thinking about starting to make the change to lithium next season. Question, is it OK to run lithium on EFI engine, and second what size do most of you run if you have switched I've read multiple posts about Optimax and charging systems. I don't believe my motor delivers more than 14 .6 volts just wanting confirmation.

My trolling motor batteries still have a season or two in them so not interested in doing a total switchover just yet. Too heavy a hit to the pocketbook for this pensioner LOL

    Any advice appreciated
    Thanks
    Pat

    Moved to correct forum.

This is important... as the answers provided above are based on an engine that has an ALTERNATOR (not a stator and voltage regulators).
