I think Angler World started mid 80’s. I think my first post was #9 If I remember. I don’t know if Gerry and Mark owned it then. Gerry is on FB with me, I should ask him when BFHP started.

Same username on BFHP as here and other sites. I quit BFHP when every post or reply to anything was someone complaining about gill nets.

So long ago I can’t remember. That was early 2000’s I believe and BBC was just starting to grow, or maybe I had just found out about BBC. Was kind of a war between the 2 boards members in which board was better. I took it as many thought BFHP was for the clowns and BBC was for the serious fisherman. Remember one guy over there used to be the know it all of props and boats. I called the prop guru back then whom every one would go to at the time and he told me the guy would call him and find out info and repeat what he had told him on the forum. The two of them ended up not liking each other cause the know it all was mad he didn’t get discounted and special treatment from the prop guru cause he sent so many guys to him......The good ole days

Same name, same handle! I believe that I found the BFHP about 1994 or early 1995. The internet was new and Mount Union had just gone online and each faculty member got their own computer in their office!

Ive been Turfy since my college days at Michigan State. My classmates nicknamed me that because I won the first inaugural Turf Bowl between Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, and Penn State. It was like a quiz bowl about grass, lol. Kinda cheesy, but cool at the same time. They still call me Turfy and I still use it for my internet handle
