    360 help

I have a Helix 12 MDI G2N unit on bow and I just bought a non mega 360 unit off a guy. What adapters or connections do I need to hook this up?

The 360 has a 8' power cord and 8' Ethernet cord attached. The Ethernet cord won't connect to anything but an Ethernet cable.

A new one comes with a AS GPS HS antenna, a 6' power cord, and a 20' Ethernet cable.

To connect an Ethernet cable to a Helix takes the AS EC QDE Ethernet adapter.

No, you have to contact Humminbird to get the correct cable.

Already stated you need an Ethernet cable. A 20’ version comes with a new one.

They don’t make a small adapter?

The shortest current Ethernet cable is the AS EC 5E

The MEGA 360 is a rotating Side Imaging transducer. If SI will show cane piles, so will the 360 view.

To mark and display waypoints on the 360 view requires a Heading Sensor.
The Heading Sensor (compass) can be:
AS GPS HS external antenna connected directly to the unit.
Minnkota iPilot LINK connected to the unit via Ethernet cable.
Lowrance Point1 connected to the unit via NEMA2000 backbone powered by 12V.

The Helix has to be a DI+ or SI+ model.

The MEGA 360 connects to the unit's transducer port and does 360 and Side Imaging, nothing else.
It has a 14-pin SOLIX transducer plug.
It comes with two 10' transducer cables, one connects it directly to a SOLIX and the other converts the 14-pin connection to 7-pin to connect to a Helix.

It comes with a 6' power cord so that needs a 1A fuse and disconnect switch.

If you want a depth readout, 2D sonar, Down Imaging, and Temp, that has to come from another source either via Y cable and another transducer or shared from another unit via Ethernet.
