    Hydraulic steering hose

    Will Seastar(Dometic) kevlar reinforced hoses work on a new Uflex Hyco system helm & ram?
    Or, where can I find kevlar Uflex hoses?

    Yes. I just did this swap. Your old hoses will bolt right on, good choice on the Uflex. Although I did just get new hoses with mine, as my old hoses were from 1996-ish? So it was time. Best price I found was at Boatid.com about $140 for both hoses with strain relief fittings.

    Ah, almost forgot, the one thing that you might have to look out for is the the new Uflex helms come with 90 degree fittings, whereas the old seastar crap was almost always straight out of the back of the helm. So take this into account when you go about your install. Good news is that the uflex fittings have an oring and swivel fitting called an ORB or O-ring boss fitting, so you can turn them around however you might need. This can pose issues in some consoles.
