    Pairing a phone

As I get ready to take delivery of a boat with my first Humminbird units I have been reading the Solix manual to try to familiarize myself with how they work. I see the instructions for pairing a phone through bluetooth but I'm not sure what you actually accomplish by doing that.

Do you just get a notification that you have a call or is there more to it?

Thank you. Another thing I can't find is the ambient temperature range for storage. Can you clue me in?

Do not see that listed in the specs or easily found in the FAQ on the Humminbird website.

I can't find anything right now but in doing research a few years back. LCD screens start to have issues below -10. Different types may have different low temps, If it gets colder than that where you store I would recommend bringing them to a warmer place for storage. Bob

Thanks. Now I don’t feel so bad about not finding that.

My Lowrance units say that they can handle +5 F so I take them inside from my unheated garage in the dead of winter to be safe. I guess I will just take the Birds in at the same time.

If you wouldn't subject yourself to it, I'd recommend you not do it to your gear either, and I'll fish until the skim ice brings lures to the surface!
