1st gen helix 5 black screen

I bought a used gen 1 helix 5 si-gps and I’m getting a black screen on di and si.....everything else works like it should....any ideas on the problem? I’m getting 12.4 bolts at the unit wired straight to the battery. This is how I have it mounted.

Do a Restore Defaults so eliminate any settings that were guessed what they should be.

The unit doesn't have Down Imaging, it has simulated Down Imaging views created by blending the two SI pulses==aka Composite DI.
Would be unusual to have both SI piezos fail.

Ok I’ll try that the next time I take it out. I’m new to di and si, I was under the impression that if it had si it also had di....I guess I have a big learning curve ahead.

The Helix MEGA SI units (except the Helix 7 MEGA SI third generation), ONIX SI, and SOLIX SI units have true Down Imaging created by a Down Imaging piezo in the SI transducer.

    The SI model 300, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1100 series, Helix 5, Helix 7, and first generation Helix 9, 10, and 12 have the Composite DI views.

Composite DI was added to SI units via software update in January 2010.

Yes it was, I was very happy to have that function added to my trusty old 797c SI machine B. I. T. D. !!!

Yes, even if one side of SI has failed.
