    Coffeen Lake

    Hey guys,

    I just moved to St. Louis and was thinking of fishing Coffeen. Will they let me put my bass boat on the lake? I would use the trolling motor only. Also anything additional I should know?

    As they say find the grass find the bass . Coffeen has coontail in it and usually the fish are in it . I haven't been there in a while so I can't comment on the current conditions but I be fishing the grass for sure.

    Coffeen used to have all kinds of fish in it, the tournament weigh in were big, since then they closed the power plant down and anglers struggle to find fish. Maybe people are not looking in the right places since they were accustomed to finding them relating to the power plant flow for many years.
