battery cutoff switch.

I have an older triton 2001 TR19. I want to install a battery cutoff switch. but its seems to me there in no good place or room in the compartment to put it. Any one done this on their older boat? if so where? Can I safely mount it to the steel panel hiding the pumps?

Yes. You can mount it to that plate. Just dont use too big of screws. I have a bunch of stuff mounted to mine in my 03 tr21.

I have a cut off switch, battery charger and some other switches attached to back of the plate in my 2003 TR20. Just don’t use too long of a screw.
