    What is this and how to remove it ???

    I just switched over to an Ultrex and now using the built in transducer on my HDS8 unit up front I got what looks like all kind of clutter or whatever on my screen over the bottom reading what is this and how do I eliminate it??? here is a pic IMG_3547.JPG

    Interference??? When i had my Lowrance units, the 2d readings were never was great when shallow.......Since you are now using a different ducer have you tried resetting the sonar settings to clear it up??

    yeah, I did that but wasn't sure that is what I needed to do, I took the noise rejection and surface clutter and tried with that ,will see how I make out sunday I have a tourney will keep you posted. it did seem better the deeper I went so you might be right about shallow water being the culprit
