V max 250 sho leg oil oops -

    Well bone head move.
    -changed leg oil
-ran 13 miles then fished with electric
    -ran back 13 miles
-same thing a second time a week later
-then did 10 miles and fished way back stopping twice to fish
-winter is here. Go to winterize. Drop leg oil-what on earth...that looks funny...

-drain oil and go to refill low
and behold on my pump is a bottle of trim fluid
(container and labels same color!!! My mistake!!!)

-when using did not notice or hear anything of concern
-oil came out clean, magnet basically clean on plug
-was a touch of pressure I noticed when removing top bent plug. Not crazy though

    - filled with proper oil and now I sit and shake my head in disbelief

    -thoughts?
    a) run it and no big deal due to length of time
    b) run it and hope for best assuming longevity compromised
    c) take it to a shop for new bearings
    d) or ???

thanks for the feedback and thoughts.
and dont need to hear how stupid I was...know that already lol

I would assume the bearings are full of the trim fluid and didn't drain "completely dry" when you drained it. I would run it once with the correct gear oil and then change it again, just to be on the safe side.
And, if it's still under warranty...I would ask the mod to delete this post.
