    2005 HPDI with bad powerhead - sell for parts?

    Hi guys,

    I have a 2004 HPDI 225 2 stroke with a bad cylinder (51 for compression). The main fuel pump failed. It only has 195 hours on it. I replaced the lower unit last year and now I am buying a new Yamaha 4 stroke -great insurance coverage. Should I sell the motor in pieces or try to sell as is? Also, what do you think I should try to get for it?

    These are a tough sell, even rebuilt due to their track record to which you can attest. Part it out .

    Personally i would sell outright. Do you have the time to disassemble it and mail all the parts out. If i was in the same situation, i would sell it and be done with it. But that's just me.
