    A45 Tempest

I recently bought a used A45 Tempest to try out. It doesn't run anywhere close to as good as my Tempest Plus. Is it worth sending it to Mark, or should I just cut my losses and not worry about it? I've always heard the A45's were good, but this one definitely is not. 24% slip compared to 8% on my Plus.

    What is the pitch?

The A45 is supposed to be a lighter prop. I have a 25p A45 and I am incredibly pleased. I was seeing about 61 mph WOT and sent it off to Mark and now see 64 with a better hole shot. That man can sure work wonders.

Sorry, it's a 25 and it does seem lighter for sure. I know Mark can make it work, I just wonder if it will be any better than my other prop. I'm not in any hurry to do anything with it, so I may just send it to him when I have time.

It is definitely a highly sought after prop...I have had a couple of people offer to buy mine.

I had a 25" pitch A45 worked by Rich Boger years ago. I tried several other stock props on the TR20 and none of them would match the A45.

These props are old and very hard to find Un molested. Most of them have been repaired or worked in past history. Most of those will never perform again. If blade area was removed, Mark cannot do much with it.
