I caught a 32" muskie below the dam there probably 10 -11 years ago on a crankbaits. And I do know the difference between a pike and a muskie. I figured it had made it's way up there from the little Miami

Last musky I caught at Cowan was 4 years ago. Smoked a rattletrap.

Have you fished there this year? In April I showed up at 4:30 p.m. on a Wednesday no fewer than 125 boats still on the lake. I have fished it 10 times this year and it has turned into a dink fest. I really feel the massive number of Crappie fishermen in the spring were keeping bass and the pressure has killed it.

Thee may be one or two left but the haven't stocked them in 12-15 years at Cowan and life span is 6-8 years in this environment. The last one I witnessed was on a buzzbait about 12 year ago.

That would be some trip since Cowan creek dumps into Todds Fork in Clarksville and then Todds Fork Dumps into the Little Miami in Morrow,,,and Cowan Creek rarely runs more than a trickle. Little Miami does have a lot of Pike though but no natural musky. Years ago (1970's)we used to catch Musky in Cowan creek and Todds Fork. Maybe they where old stragglers,,,,

Great video! Cowan definitely is a sleeper because of the motor restriction
