    RT 188 livewell plexiglass cover?

Anyone tried it yet? Did a search and found where it was talked about.

Trying to keep fish from jumping when lid is open.

Next time I take the cover off of my boat I'll take a pic and dimensions (hopefully this weekend). First thing I tried was a wire mesh that I put plastic edging on. But that was too thick and would not close. Then got clear plexi-glass from Home Depot or Lowes (don't remember) and cut it to size. I believe I got 1/8" thick but could have been 3/32". Won't close if you get it too thick. It's not perfect but it does work.

I looked a couple times and didn't see it by looking at the titles of the videos. Can you post a link?

That is not a bad idea, but then you can't separate fish? I guess i dont fish anything that has a "co-angler". Have only done team stuff. And am trying to make things easier for my son and his Bassmaster HS fishing partner.

Thanks for posting. The first thing I did when I purchased my RT 188 was take out the divider. Your co-anger can use tags for his fish. Then I made my plexi-glass top. Mine just sits on top and can slide back and forth.

I need to do this because I've had issues with fish jumping out when I open the lid to add a fish or to cull. Looks straight forward.

Here is a link to one a guy shared on Facebook. It’s the best way I’ve seen. I’m gonna try it on mine when I get some time. He gives a materials list also.

That is kinda what i was wanting to accomplish. Thanks for posting that!

Think i will make pieces shorter so it has a opening in center to be able to close with the latch still installed. And maybe put couple holes in it to help with sliding it from side to side. But that will work very nice!!

I think all your have to do is notch the two pieces in the corner maybe 3-4” it would work. You’d just have to make sure you slid them the right way each time so the notched corners were together

I found some c-channel that has a pretty narrow channel. Going to run 2 channels on top of each other. Each panel in it's own channel. Notch corners on front of panel on each side . It will help to have something to grab to slide and then wpnt matter which side is which. Atleast that the plan. Well see

Found that 2 channels will not fit. Did single channel and removed lock and it worked great this weekend.
