Thumbs Up BEAD BLASTING LOWER UNIT

    MOTOR SERIAL NO:1E081212....300R
Hi hope all is well....just wondering if it would cause any negative effects if I have my lower bead blasted...as the lower unit paint is difficult to maintain.
My previous 250 xs had no paint on the lower....way more resistant to light scratching .
    Kind regards

In theory... no, it shouldn't cause a specific functionality problem. Many of the high-perf gearcases have been "bare" (or even brush-finished) for years.

That being said- keep in mind that if it fails, and it's been modified, you're probably on your own. Not sure what your "Dealer" network is out there...
