Wonders of Wildlife, Aquarium, Bass Fishing Hall of Fame in Springfield

Just curious if anyone has been? I know there’s plenty of Johnny Morris haters but was wondering if the overall bass history and sights are worth the trip. Also, how long to see what you need to see? Thinking of paying a visit this fall for something new, about an 8.5hr drive thinking maybe a long weekend.

I would like to go there sometime myself. I've been in the bass pro beside it a few times but didn't have the time to go through the museum. I did go through the gun museum in the bass pro though. That was very interesting. Lots of great guns from throughout history. Don't forget the bow museum also.

Wonders of Wildlife is worth the trip. I was pretty apprehensive about going, but was really surprised. It is very much worth it as is the massive Bass Pro store and don't forget to go to the Outlet (right next door).

I've been thru it 6-7 times my wife got season passes the first couple years, I like it, plenty of stuff to keep the kids busy awhile, as far as looking at everything we would take several hours every time and always seemed like I seen something new every time I went.

Been there twice. You can easily spend several hours in there. My wife keeps rushing me through there otherwise you could easily spend all day there.

Been to the aquarium once, probably spent about 4 hours there, it is pretty neat. I have been to the Boston, Seattle and Monterrey aquariums and Johnny's stacks up well against all of them. The bass museum itself, which is in the aquarium, is so-so.

Thanks for the reviews. We spent a long weekend in the Pyramid in Memphis and really enjoyed it. Where it all started is next on the list.

You might as well plan on Big Cedar Lodge, Top of the Rock, Dogwood Canyon, etc, etc!

It's well worth doing at least once. We did the aquarium and wildlife together in one trip and it took us a good 5 hours to get through everything. I felt like we kept up a pretty good pace the entire time too.

Thanks for the information, we’ll do a little looking around. Thought it looked like it could be worth a walk around but just wanted to make sure it wasn’t just a big bass pro shop...

I've been there. I thought it was really cool. My wife and kids weren't so impressed, but it was super busy while we were there.

Been there twice and even did the shark dive with my wife for our anniversary last year. (She absolutely loves sharks!) It is worth the time, but you need a considerable amount of time to complete both the aquarium and the wildlife sides. Well, I guess it depends on how interested you are in learning about the different animals, but you could literally spend all day in there.

It is a lot of fun. Would recommend it to anyone. My 3 grandkids enjoyed it and we have been 2 times. Gave the 2 grandsons a shark dive when they turned 10. They thought that was cool.

As many have said, it’s pretty cool. If you take your time it’s a full day.

maybe go a little farther to Branson / Tablerock to round out the trip.
