Swapping waypoints form lcx to hds.

So I know this is a stupid question I went to lowrance page and followed the instructions but I've tried for at least an hour with not success, to swap my old waypoints over so here we go ,I installed the blank card in my x28 formated the card and loaded my data on the card, I think? the card shows some data used or occupied but when I put the chip in my hds it shows no data on the card so there is nothing to upload . Its a small card i know the bigger cards in the old units don't work well . I don't think the data is truly transfering to the card from my old unit, it says it is buy the hds isn't seeing it so I cant get my waypoints to my newer unit, Any ideas are appreciated thanks

You may have to tell the HDS unit what type of data to look for. I think LCX exported waypoints in a different version than HDS uses. But it can read them just have to tell it what to look for
