    Carbon 12 Arrow running sideways

    New Carbon 12...

The arrow runs at 45 degree angle. Does not matter if I have North Up, Heading Up, Course Up.

It is using my Point 1 for heading.

Looks strange moving down he lake.

Trail comes out of right bottom point of arrow.

Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks.

Is it possible your NMEA network was not powered?
    Where is your Point-1 mounted?
How is the arrow on the Point-1 aligned with your boat?
If the arrow is oriented correctly, I would suspect magnetic interference, or it needs to be calibrated.

I thought about that, but my Bow Graph: 12 Gen 3 uses the Point 1 also. On that graph, I use heading extension and range rings to pinpoint structure. It seems to be right on.

Magnetic interference from the motor while on plane. It is a common problem and yes it looks weird but it doesn't really hurt anything. As long as it settles down and points directly forward when on the trolling motor. You don't really need a heading sensor while moving. GPS can infer heading just fine as long as you are moving. You could turn off Heading info while on plane if it really bugs you or try to mount in a different spot. Mine does it too but I can see what direction I'm moving, don't matter what the boat icon is doing!
