    Lake Russell in early November

Going down to Russell for a few days in early November. What patterns for bass are good down there at time of year?

I've always done well with crankbaits in the creeks. It's also a good way to get some kicker largemouths.

How about schooling? I know its probably a baitfish location deal. I will be camping at Calhoun Falls and want to stay in that area.

I live in Anderson and fish Russell a good bit. November is usually a great time to burn a flat sided crank bait. Buzzbait in flooded timber is also a good pattern. The topwater bite can be fairly good to just scattered after the fall turnover a bit.
