spotters in the US Open saving lost ball penalty strokes??

With out spotters in this tournament I wonder how many lost ball penalties there would be on every round? Some of that rough is as deep as the rough on FT Campbell's golf course. As a group we lose 3 or 4 balls per round that falls into the blackhole in the rough.

Spotters save 2-4 shots a round for the pros.

I could have used spotters today. Hit 5 T shots into the rough. Found only 3.

I’m mostly a Srixon Z star and Q star player. Just like the feel of them better than the chrome soft I tried for a bit. My normal playing partner don’t need a spotter when he can throw his club further than he can hit the ball on some occasions
