    2020 Mercury 225 4 stroke / Smartcraft 1000

Recently repowered with 225 4 stroke.Trim gauge from my old Evinrude not working. I am considering replacing with Smartcraft 1000 which would give me trim gage plus water pressure , tach ,speed, fuel pressure, engine hrs. What is the advantage if all of my other gauges are working fine? Is there a factory installed warning system( Beeps) in case of engine failure. Looking at around $400 with extension cable. Just looking for more info before making a decision. Thanks
