    check for spark

    I have a 65 hp outboard and I don't have the controls for it but do have the engine connector with short wires on it.&nbsp; Looking at the wiring diagram if I put 12 volt DC to the red wire going to the switch box will that give me spark when the engine spins?&nbsp; &nbsp;Assuming the ignition system is good lol<br><br>I hope I attached a jpeg of the schematic

    yup battery cd ign has to have 12v
