Do one of two things... Rig them with a Stupid Head or stuff a piece of a beat up old Senko in the hollow body... I prefer the Stupid head method...

Favorite is a jig and pork frog... No matters what time of year it is... Dan

If you're confident you're putting it in front of them it's probably not the bait but the rate of fall. Ive caught thousands of fish flipping and as much as fisherman like their pretty baits I just don't think it matters unless you're in extremely clear water. My guess is that you're not using a heavy enough weight. You might be surprised what 5/8 or 3/4 will do.

I'm looking forward to trying Big Bites BFE.

To keep it basic, the real truth, a hunk of dark plastic is what is needed. A few things that wiggle on the back end and you good. Placement is the most important factor.

As this thread proves, you can throw just about anything, if you think it will catch a bass then it probably will. The key component is the confidence you have in catching one.

Junebug sweet beaver 4.2 or a 3/8th ounce jig in a color that I do myself.

But I usually have 3 rods to pitch/flip with, and sometimes 4, on deck.

D Bomb - GP3 or Bruiser Flash, VMC 4/0 Ringed EWG, 3/8-5/8 tungsten weight. For occasions that call for a little more flail, I will toss a Berkley Crazy Legs Chigger Craw in Breen, amazing color in clear water situations.
