    G Loomis NRX rod question

I am looking for an NRX spinning rod to go along with a conquest 842 spinning rod.
I am only looking for an NRX rod in the 6’10” to 7’3” range. Looking for something to fish senkos / wacky rig 50% of the time - shakey head 25% of the time and ned rig and drop shot the other 25% - maybe some texas rig but never over 3/8 oz. which model do you guys think is best in the nrx line?

Best overall rods for spinning are the 872 and the 852 .. thkse are the most versatile.. I loved my 872 wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of it but sometimes u gotta do what u gotta do

I have the 852s and I think it’s perfect for 1/8-1/4 range! I’ve never tried 3/8 but I think it would handle it.

To me the 852 fishes about a half power stronger than the 872. The added length of the 872 seems to be in the tip making it a bit softer. The 872 is my favorite spinning rod but the 852 might fit your needs a little better if youre gonna tx rig with it. Theyre both awesome sticks but honestly youll have a hard time finding an 872 right now. I sold one of my 2 and am already regretting it
They aint got hands, set the hook

852 will handle 3/8 no problem. I fish 1/2 oz football heads with it often as well.

872 has a significant lighter tip than the 852. 872 doesn’t balance as nice as the 852. I use the 872 for open hook and the 852 for weedless
