    Power Cords

    I will be powering a MK220PC and a MK330PC through a NOCO 2-way splitter.

MK shows this for recommended power cords:

Obviously the chart assumes one charger. Since I am running two, what AWG cord do I need if the run is about 15'?

    Thanks

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing unless I make a 15’ cord.

For a one time purchase can’t go wrong with biggest you can afford or get since they don’t really fail. No downside to bigger when talking extension cord

I hear you. It isn’t a money issue; I was hoping that I could use a power cord that I already have and put a female end on it at the spot I wanted it so that it wasn’t much longer than I need. Turns out that the one I was thinking of is only 16 AWG so that idea won’t work. I have a 50’ 12 AWG but I don’t want to cut it down to size. I guess I will just get a 25’ one.

As I shop for a cord many of them have lighted ends. Is there any downside to that?

Also, I wasn't thinking about the need for a surge protector. Looking at them online nobody lists the cord size, just the amperage. To be safe should I get one that works as a wall tap instead of corded?
